We use PostMark to send certain transactional emails, which might include forum conversations. We may share your name and email address for fulfillment. Restrict Content Pro

We use Restrict Content Pro to service our membership platform. Information you voluntarily submit when creating your profile will be shared with Restrict Content Pro. Restrict Content Pro stores your: username, email address, password and name (if you provide it). Although your information is used on our behalf by Restrict Content Pro, Restrict Content Pro does not share your personal information with any other third parties. ConvertKit

Vision Health Today uses ConvertKit to send emails to our customers and customer prospects. We may share your name, email address, and payment history with ConvertKit to improve your experience with our email marketing. ConvertKit will also process your experience with our newsletters, such as whether you open them or click on certain links. This helps us create the best user experience for you. This information is used by ConvertKit in accordance with their privacy policy.

AddEvent

We use add event to allow our users to add events to their calendar with ease. This will require you provide some of your custom information or grant permission to access your calendar. Chatroll

We use Chatroll for chat functionality on our public event pages. You may voluntarily enter some personal information to use the chat feature. This information is not shared with third parties. For more information, please visit their privacy policy.

CrowdCast

We use CrowdCast for certain live events with our members. No information is shared between CrowdCast and VisionHealthToday; however, CrowdCast does require that you create a CrowdCast account in order to view these live events. Vimeo

We use Vimeo to host certain video content, such as courses. Vimeo collects data about your behavior, such as views and may collect personal information if it is submitted with a Vimeo account. YouTube

We use YouTube to stream video for certain events. YouTube collects data about your behavior, such as views, and may collect personal information if it is submitted with a YouTube account. This information is not shared with any third parties. For more information, please visit their privacy policy.

Comments

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Cloudflare

The Site uses Cloudflare for website security and caching. Any personal information obtained by Cloudflare is not shared with any third parties.

Crowdsignal

Vision Health Today uses Crowdsignal to survey members through our membership dashboard. If you are visiting our site without obtaining a membership, you will not be subject to any data collection by this application. If you are a member and you elect to participate in any surveys, we will receive that information. Any personal information collected is not shared with any third parties.

Adroll / Retargeting

  Vision Health Today occasionally uses the AdRoll display advertising network (and/or NextRoll, Inc.) to collect visitor data on our site and then serve targeted display ads to you on other sites. Our partners use technology such as cookies and web beacons to collect this data. Our advertising Partner, NextRoll, Inc., performs a hash of your email address in order to serve targeted advertising to other devices connected to you (via cross-device tracking). Deadline Funnel

We use this service to host certain webinars offered on the website. If you attend a webinar, you may provide certain information, such as your name and email address, as part of the registration process. This information will be stored by Deadline Funnel and may be used for the distribution of emails. Additionally, we may then transfer the information to another service, such as ConvertKit, for email subscriptions. THIRD-PARTY USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION We may share your information with third parties when you explicitly authorize us to share your information. Additionally, the Site may use third-party service providers to service various aspects of the Site, which are detailed herein. Each third-party service provider’s use of your personal information is dictated by their respective privacy policies. At this time, your personal information is not shared with any other third-party applications. This may be amended from time to time in the Site’s sole discretion. Except when required by law, we will not sell, distribute, or reveal your email addresses or other personal information without your consent; however, we may disclose or transfer personal information collected through the Site to third parties who acquire all or a portion of our business, which may be the result of a merger, consolidation, or purchase of all or a portion of our assets, or in connection with any bankruptcy or reorganization proceeding brought by or against us.

How Long We Retain Your Data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Embedded Content from Other Sites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. Transactional Data

We may process information relating to transactions, including purchases of goods and services, that you enter into with us and/or through our Site (“Transactional Data”). The transaction data may be processed for the purpose of supplying the purchased goods and services and keeping proper records of those transactions. Payment processing on our Site is handled by our payment services providers, PayPal and Stripe. We will share transaction data with our payment services providers only to the extent necessary for the purposes of processing your payments, refunding such payments and dealing with complaints and queries relating to such payments and refunds. In addition to Stripe and PayPal, we also use tools that integrate with Stripe in an effort to improve customer service and provide greater reporting. These tools are Churn Buster and ProfitWell. They process our data, but do not share it with third parties.

Retargeting Ads

From time to time, the Site may engage in remarketing efforts with third-party companies, such as Google, Facebook, or Instagram, in order to market the Site. These companies use cookies to serve ads based on someone’s past visits to the Site. This means, after visiting the Site, you may see an ad for our services. However, your personally identifiable information is not used by any remarketing service other than to present you offers from the Site. Newsletters

On the Site, you may subscribe to our newsletter, which may be used for advertising purposes. All newsletters sent may contain tracking pixels. The pixel is embedded in emails and allows an analysis of the success of online marketing campaigns. Because of these tracking pixels, we may see if and when you open an email and which links within the email you click. Also, this allows the Site to adapt the content of future newsletters to the interests of the user. This behavior will not be passed on to third parties. From time to time, we may include advertisements for third-party products, such as podcast sponsors. These ads may appear in our show notes, podcast recordings/videos/transcripts, and newsletters. We track activity related to these advertisements for our sponsors. This may include links clicked and possible interactions related to the sponsor. We will not report any of your personal information to our sponsors. 

Account Connection with Nutrifox

If you have a paid annual membership to Vision Health Today, you receive the opportunity to connect your Vision Health Today account to Nutrifox, which allows you to make online nutrition labels for your recipes. If you elect to connect these accounts, you are authorizing us to share your Vision Health Today user ID and the expiration date of your Vision Health Today Membership. No other information will be accessible. If you have created a username that includes personal information, such as your email address or name, then it would be accessible to Nutrifox. Otherwise, no identifying details would be made accessible. If you do not want us to share this information, please do not link your account.

ANONYMOUS DATA

From time to time, we may use anonymous data, which does not identify you alone, or when combined with data from other parties. This type of anonymous data may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses. Examples of this anonymous data may include analytics or information collected from cookies.

PUBLICLY VISIBLE INFORMATION

If you create a user profile on the Website or leave a comment, certain information may be publicly visible.

SENSITIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION

At no time should you submit sensitive personal information to the Website. This includes your social security number, information regarding race or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, health information, criminal background, or trade union memberships. CHILDREN’S INFORMATION

The Website does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 16.
